Police, Fire Service and Council have joined in a collaboration called SASAA, to promote the new Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and laws concerning the supply of alcohol to under-18s, drink driving rules, and restrictions on advertising alcohol.
The goal was to engage with professionals who sale and supply alcohol to minimise of harm caused by its excessive or inappropriate use.
To improve the user engagement I designed a solution that employs game design elements. The digital educative product created is a fun, interactive instrument that propose different scenarios in a “Party Town”, where users are projected in the simulation of real events, that studies confirm it positively effects the learning process on individuals.
The approach is to make existing tasks feel more like games using techniques that include adding meaningful choice, onboarding with a tutorial, increasing challenge, and adding narrative.
