It is easy to do wildlife encounters in New Zealand, or find yourself in outstanding scenes of an unspoiled landscape.
I wanted to catch some of that beauty, and I decided to focus on the unique birds that live here.
I was fascinated by their own characteristics and I wanted to represent them in a modern twist. The idea was to create a simple design without losing the essence of the birds. I realised that, the beauty of birds often get lost in their background, so I imagined an explosion of colours and geometric shapes on a white backdrops. Which it became an important part of the composition to accentuate the uniqueness of these wonderful creatures.
